This song is relevant to anyone who has lost someone close to them, especially a parent. What makes the lyrics that much more poignant for me is that my mother had such a light about her, despite the darkness that was buried inside. Someone who marched to the beat of her own drum, I believe she would have probably worn green spandex, though I never saw it for myself! A beautiful song for a beautiful person.
